Grant Programs : EVM-Compatible Chains

This proposal is to be attached with the proposal to increase the number of blockchain where Gains network is available . When gains network launches on a new blockchain there is a cost, a cost related to development and a cost related to the vault. The purpose of these grants will be to cover these costs.

1. Tron

  • Grant Program: TronDAO Ecosystem Fund
  • Analysis:
Tron’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem is underdeveloped. Consequently, applicants have a higher likelihood of grant approval, as Tron is eager to support initiatives that bolster its ecosystem.

2. BNB Chain

  • Grant Program: BNB Chain Grants
  • Analysis:
BNB Chain boasts a well-established DeFi ecosystem, making the grant approval process more competitive.

3. Avalanche

  • Grant Program: Avalanche Multiverse
  • Analysis:
Avalanche’s mature DeFi ecosystem results in a more selective grant approval process.

4. Optimism

  • Grant Program: Optimism Grants
  • Analysis:
With an active DeFi ecosystem, Optimism’s grant selection is competitive.

5. Cronos

  • Grant Program: Cronos Grants
  • Analysis:
Cronos has a moderately developed DeFi ecosystem, offering reasonable opportunities for grant approval.

6. Celo

  • Grant Program: Celo Community Fund
  • Analysis:
Celo’s growing DeFi ecosystem may facilitate grant acquisition for projects that enhance its environment.

7. Moonbeam

  • Grant Program: Moonbeam Grants
  • Analysis:
Limited information is available regarding Moonbeam’s DeFi focus; project relevance will be key.

8. Immutable X

9. Mantle

  • Grant Program: Mantle Grants
  • Analysis:
Backed by Bybit, Mantle’s moderately developed DeFi ecosystem increases the likelihood of grant approval.

10. Linea

11. Skale

  • Grant Program: Skale Grants
  • Analysis:
Skale’s ecosystem has growth potential, offering reasonable chances for well-structured projects to receive funding.

12. Telos

13. CoreDAO

  • Grant Program: Core Grants Program
  • Analysis:
CoreDAO presents development opportunities, with strategic DeFi projects likely to gain support.

14. ZetaChain

  • Grant Program: ZetaChain Developer Grants
  • Analysis:
ZetaChain’s growing ecosystem may provide grants for contributing projects.

15. PulseChain

  • Grant Program: PulseChain Foundation Grants
  • Analysis:
PulseChain offers growth potential, especially for projects addressing specific needs.

16. Taiko

  • Grant Program: Taiko Grants
  • Analysis:
Taiko is in the early stages of developing its DeFi ecosystem, potentially making grant approval more accessible.

17. Web3 Foundation

  • Grant Program: Web3 Foundation Grants
  • Analysis:
The Web3 Foundation supports projects that advance the decentralized web, with a focus on Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems.

18. Bitfinity Network

19. Casper

  • Grant Program: Casper Accelerate Grant Program
  • Analysis:
Casper’s DeFi ecosystem is under development, potentially facilitating grant approval for contributing projects.

20. Gnosis

  • Grant Program: Gnosis Ecosystem Fund
  • Analysis:
Gnosis supports projects that enhance its ecosystem, with a focus on decentralized applications and infrastructure.

Alternative Strategy for Projects with Low Grant Approval Probability

For chains with highly competitive grant processes (e.g., BNB Chain, Avalanche, Optimism), consider negotiating a loan to fund a Vault. This approach allows the team to invest in the Vault while maintaining control over the funds.

Great work collating all these

Hopefully can be useful for the team

Thank you for this list! I have discussed it with the team and notified them of the post. Thanks’ for compiling this list, now that the holidays are over we can get some thoughts on these!

Thank you for collecting and analyzing all this—it’s helpful to have everything laid out with all the links included. We recognize that targeting grant programs across EVM-compatible chains is a smart way to grow, and your insights into competitiveness are valuable. We’re continuously evaluating expansion opportunities and will carefully weigh our options for future launches. Appreciate your effort and support!

Thanks for putting together this list, really appreciate it. Some of the factors we evaluate when it comes to chain expansion, aside from grants availability, include:

  • EVM compatibility
  • Accessibility, mindshare, and total addressable market—are there existing traders on this chain?
  • Liquidity is a big factor. Ideally, we don’t want to fragment the existing stablecoin liquidity we already have. The best case scenario is if the chain(s) sponsor the liquidity with their own network token (including the Overcollateralization layer), like ApeChain did for us
  • Our dev resources

Again, really appreciate you taking the time to compile this list. We’ll evaluate and select the best options to pursue! Thank you!
