[AutoGains] GCGP-Bridge Grant Bi-weekly Report Week 4

1. Executive Summary

  • Overview of Roadmap Progress:
    Trading contract vaults are currently complete. The website designs are complete as well, and auditing of the smart contracts have begun.

  • KPI Achievements or Impactful Highlights:
    → Website figma designs are complete.
    → Smart Contracts complete

  • Current Analytics:
    Current analytics, such as DUNE dashboards, are unnecessary at the moment because there is no data to analyze.

2. Grant Objectives & Goals

Our list of specific objectives and goals for the future include:

  • Getting an audit done
  • Building the website starting with the splash page
  • Adding more animations
  • Building out more api’s

3.Strategies

  • Describe strategies employed to achieve the objectives:

    • Look for professional auditing through leaderboards on services like sherlock, code4rena, or findanaudit to find a solo auditor.

  • Details of collaborations or partnerships involved:
    We don’t have any collaboration or partnerships coming up.

4. Challenges

Identification of encountered obstacles:

  1. Lack of a simple way to calculate a position’s PnL.
  2. Needed to bring data off chain to onchain reliably and quickly. Especially when it came to indicators and extra data/calculations.
  3. Needed a way to store the logic for a strategy on-chain.

Discussion on how these challenges were addressed:

  1. Worked closely with the team to address this through the GainsNetwork SDK.
  2. Found an oracle company we could partner with to keep costs low and bring the data easily on-chain.
  3. Integration Equation from the BandProtocl & SSTORE2 were used to cheaply store strategies onchain. Enabling everything from the smallest logic to massive multistage strategies.

5. Impact

  • Summary of Major Accomplishments:

    • Contract completed (with minor corrections needed)
    • Contract audit process begun
    • Website development started.

  • Quantitative Results: 4 more followers on the X account, but otherwise most of the results are qualitative.

6. Community Engagement
The X account has been active in engaging the community for ideas on what kind of indicators to add as well as reaching out to individuals for ideas and inspiration. AutoGains was mentioned by The Daily Degen(37.5k followers) x.com and followed by a notable threador :eyes:.

7. Financial Summary

Overview of funds received:

  • 15K in ARB from the GCGP-Bridge grant(this is what will be received, it has not been received yet.)

Detailed expenditure breakdown:

  • 10k ARB for development costs concerning the contracts, frontend, designs, and more.
  • 5K ARB to cover the audit cost

8. Lessons Learned & Takeaways

  • Improved testing procedures when working with APIs.
  • Avoid letting edge functions become too large, as this can slow down performance.
  • Learned a lot about the gains network sdk and gains network’s unique systems.
